Homemade Toys/Activities

Toys do not have to be expensive and come from a store in order to be fun. You have many items around your home that can be used to make fun, learning tools for your child. Please check back often for new ideas!

Homemade "I Spy" bottle.

Use a clear plastic bottle (left over from water, juice, or soda). Fill a clean and dry bottle with rice or salt. Find small objects that fit into the bottle, such as buttons, different confetti shapes, small toys, etc. Place the objects in the bottle and glue the lid on. Shake the bottle and have your child find the objects. Photo from mamalibrarian.com
